Biography of Anne Joana
Anne Joana was born on October 9 in Saint Mandé in the upper Seine. From an early age, she was his father officer and pilot of the French Air Force in African countries until the age of 24 (Ethiopia, Mauritania, Morocco, Senegal, Yemen ...).
All these trips will become one of the sources of my paintings but not only.
In 1976, she returned to France and for 2 years, she works alone on graphics with the impressionist Eugène Pech in his house in Carcassonne in the south of France.
In 1980, shecreated in Yaoundé, Cameroon, the UDAPCAM(the union of Cameroonian visual artists).
From 1982 to 1984, she will be the only student of the painter André Lemaitre
friend of VLAMINCK. We will work together in the artist's studio in Cesny-aux-Vignes in Calvados.
She will also work in close collaboration with Jean-Pierre LEFEBVRE.
In 1983, Anne Joana returns to French Artists
she became a member in 1986.
From 1985, she became friends with painters Toulouse André LARTIGUE and Pierre DARQUES.
She is a member of the French Artists and the Salon des Indépendants in Paris.
